PotosÍ, Bolivia. 2000 Once the richest silver mine in the world, the still-operational Cerro Rico (Rich Mountain) in PotosÍ produces mostly less-precious metals now. The widow of a deceased miner has the "claim" to any bits of ore that may have escaped earlier separation processes.
